The 2023 Take a Swing at Diabetes Golf Tournament was a great success! Thank you to all of our 2023 sponsors!

 

Sedro-Woolley Lions are sponsoring our second Golf Tournament at Avalon Golf Links on Saturday, May 11th. The purpose is to raise money to help people in Skagit County with Diabetes and pre-Diabetes. Our non-profit Foundation Directors will receive referrals from healthcare professionals to help an individual in need of financial assistance if their health insurance denies whole or partial coverage.

Our focus will also include coverage for tuition to attend certified programs to help an individual learn to manage healthy eating, establish a safe exercise plan and lose weight to reduce their risk of Type 2 Diabetes. We will encourage and cover summer camp tuition for children to attend Camp Leo for Children with Diabetes. We are aware that as we build up our funds we will discover other needs for individuals living with Diabetes, and we hope to be able to say “yes we can help.”

By sponsoring a team, or by sponsoring one of the other items on our sponsor page you will help us prevent Diabetes in Skagit County and help those who are living with it. If you prefer, you may donate an item for our raffle or donate money to assist us in achieving our goal.
